On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my

Flowers have always played an
important part in human life.
From the earliest times they have been given as
signs of love and respect and have been used in
ceremonies of all types. The flowers included in
this ceremony represent the ten parts of the Girl
Scout Law.
I WILL DO MY BEST
TO BE HONEST AND FAIR
(light a candle)
The white carnation represents honesty, showing
truth, and honor.
Ivy represents a faithfulness to duties and
keeping promises, and to be reasonable in
dealing with others.
The color green is for new growth and being open
to new ideas.
FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL
(light a candle)
The daisy shows warmth and caring for friends.
The daffodil shows the cheerful willingness to
help
CONSIDERATE AND CARING
(light a candle)
The iris represents caring for others.
The baby's breath shows generosity
COURAGEOUS AND STRONG
(light a candle)
The poppy symbolizes
courage even in the face of difficulty.
The heather shows the ability to persevere.
AND RESPONSIBLE FOR
WHAT I SAY AND DO, (light a candle)
The sweet pea represents reliability and shows
devotion to duty
AND
TO RESPECT MYSELF AND
OTHERS, (light a candle)
Churchbells symbolize moderation
and represents thoughtfulness and kindness
toward each other and ourselves.
RESPECT AUTHORITY,

The violet shows careful thinking, attention,
and faith in common values.
USE RESOURCES WISELY,
(light a candle)
The delphinium symbolizes thriftiness.
MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER
PLACE, (light a candle)
The sunflower represents our love of nature.
AND BE A SISTER TO
EVERY GIRL SCOUT. (light a candle)
The rose symbolizes our love for our sisters in
Scouting and Guiding.
This basket represents our
dedication to the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
Its beauty reminds us of our commitment to the
principles of Girl Scouting.
