the bill is introduced into the senate; they decide whether to keep or toss; (if passed) it's sent to the other house; if both houses versions of the bill are the same it's sent to the president, if they don't match up the committee meets to make a single version then sent to the president; if the president signs the bill it's made a law!; if he doesn't sign it then it's sent to congress and can be vetoed 2/3 and then made a bill!
