salvius when he had heard of the death of cogi left the camp. Though the province, he made a journey to the palace where he had accepted the will. He did stay there for nine days to administer the affairs of cogi. On the tenth day, having set out for a journey, he began to extort money and wealth from the Britians. Some of the chiefs, corrupted by greed and fear, did help salvius. Belimicus, the chief of the cantiaci, led on by the hope of a prize, gave salvius the greatest help. The British began to trade all of the goods. The others who were scared of powerful salvius at once yielded to Belimicus who did resist him. Some who did fear the power of salvius immediately yielded to him. Others who did resist him, did receive serious punishment. But Belimicus although he did accept many prizes and honors from salvius was not at all content. He did want to be the king of the regnessi. He ,lead by hope, began to plan with the chiefs. They, who distrusted Belimicus, returned the matter to Salvius. Salvius, angered by Belimicus's audacity, planned to kill him. And so he called his friends, whom they did trust the most; he asked whether he should use violence or poison. The friends, to win over Salvius's favor, proposed many and various plans. However, one of the friends, the most smart man, "Poison" he said "for Belimicus, the most hostile enemy. It is most suitable" "But how can we accomplish this?" Said Salvius. " for Belimicus a man of great intelligence trusts nobody" a"You will easily deceive this little man" he said "The poison mixed into the food will easily deceive Belimicus who is a very clever and cunning man." "I shall skillfully give him the poison myself" 'Hurray!' said Salvius, delighted by his friend's plan. 'It is the easiest for me to invite him to an expensive dinner. it is necessary that I send him a flattering letter. I shall make the words flattering so he cannot resist.' Salvius, without delay invited Belimicus to the palace. Who, not suspecting any trickery came to the palace on the ninth hour.
