Warriors is series of adventures novels about 5 clans of feral cats: ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, RiverClan and then later a fifth clan is added in books: Skyclan. There are other groups as well, but they're technically not real clans. a series of novels based around the adventures and drama of several groups (Clans) of feral cats. The series takes place in the fictional White Hart Woods, and also in the Sanctuary Lake

The names of the cats follow a few simple guidelines. First of all, whatever the name, it cannot contain parts that these cats would not know, which mainly targets objects made by humans. Names consist of a prefix and a suffix. The prefix describes the aesthetics of the cat like its color. The suffix describes the cat's personality or skills. For example, the suffix "water" indicates that the cat is a great swimmer and the suffix "fire" indicates that the cat is either a passionate cat or a fierce fighter. There are a few additional rules depending on age.

When a cat is less than 6 months old, the suffix will always be "kit", the first name in this generator will always have this suffix. When a cat reaches the age of 6 months, it becomes an apprentice and the word "kit" becomes "paw". The second name will always have this suffix. Finally, when a cat becomes a clan leader, the suffix will be "star".
